RADIOLOGY

Our unit provides extensive use of advanced radiological examination and diagnosis methods and equipped with cutting edge technology.

Two Multidetector Computerized Tomography devices (one 128-channel and one 16-channel), one 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging device, seven Ultrasound/Color Doppler Ultrasound devices, three Digital Radiology devices, two Portable Digital X-ray Devices, Bone Densitometry Device, mammography device –the one fully digital mammography device that can perform contrasted mammography scan and tomosynthesis scan in Southeastern Anatolia Region- and one DSA (flat detector digital angiography device) are available.

In Radiology Department, thanks to these devices, all non-invasive angiographic imaging studies including Coronary CT Angiography, CT and MRI studies as well as Third Level and 4 Dimensional Obstetric US and Color Doppler studies,

Fine needle aspiration biopsies,

Tru-cut biopsies,

Drainage of abscess,

Liver, thyroid, breast, prostate, muscle and lesion biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis,

Breast lesion marking procedures,

Interventional procedures for liver and bile ducts (PTC, percutaneous biliary drainage, percutaneous hydatide cyst treatment, stent, balloon),

Interventional procedures for kidney and urinary bladder,

Balloon/stent applications for obstructed carotid/vertebral arteries,

Diagnostic angiographies,

Angiographic imaging of vascular stenosis and obstruction and treatments,

Angiographic imaging and treatment of vascular diseases such as aneurysm, vascular malformation, fistula,

Angiographic diagnosis and treatments of tumors,

Angiographic treatments for bleedings and similar vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures are successfully performed.
