M.D.Professor Celal  AYAZ

CV:

He was born in Bismil District of Diyarbakır in 1953. He attended primary school in Bismil and secondary and high schools in Batman. 

After he was graduated from School of Medicine of Dicle Unviersity in 1980, he worked in Muğla Community Clinic for 18 months. He completed the military service in Ankara. He studied the residency education in School of Medicine of Dicle University from 1985 to 1989. He was awarded the title “Assistant Professor” in 1990, “Associate Professor” in 1993 and “Professor” in 1998 in the same university. He was the member of the board in School of Medicine for one period and he was the head of Internal Medicine Sciences Directorate for one period, and he was also the Head of Curriculum Committee for a long time.

Being the head of the department for 24 years, Prof. Ayaz, M.D., supervised more than 25 dissertation studies of residents in this period. He has been the head of Infection Control Committee for a long time and member of the board in Turkish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and the president of the same society for one period.

Prof. Ayaz, M.D., authored more than 200 papers on viral hepatitis, meningitis, salmenollosis and hospital-acquired infections in national and international journals and more than 100 poster studies in international journals.

Being assigned as President of congress and member of organization committees in several national congresses, Prof. Ayaz, M.D. has been lecturer and chair of session in many national congresses. He was also reviewer in many peer-review journals.

He was retired from the Head of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Department of School of Medicine in Dicle University on May 2018 and Prof. Ayaz, M.D., started working as the Head of Infectious Diseases Department in School of Medicine of SANKO University.
