Psychologist Gözde KIRATLI


She was born in Gaziantep on May 8, 1990. She was graduated as the second best student from equally weighted curriculum of the high school in 2009. She was accepted to Psychology Department of Okan University on a 100% scholarship and she was graduated with High Honor Degree in 2014. She was awarded the Objective Tests Practitioner Certificate based on a training that included intelligence, development and personality inventories in Clinical Psychology Institute in the same year. After she studied pedagogic formation education in Marmara University, she worked in a private school.

She started studying master’s degree on Clinical Psychology (Pediatric and Adult Divisions) in FMV Işık University in 2015 and she was graduated in 2017. She authored the master’s degree dissertation thesis titled “Relation of Problem Solving Skills of Adolescents with Attitudes of Parent” that was supervised by Prof. Ayten Erdoğan, M.D.

Based on the supervision, she assessed patients in psychological counseling and guidance unit of FMV Işık University. She complemented the process of supervision on pediatric and adolescent psychotherapy and parent counseling under the supervision of Clinical Psychologist Sergül Oğur Çaydamlı with a focus on play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. She observed students of kindergarten, primary school and high school in the school environment in various internships until this period.

In addition, she had the opportunity to study and observe adult, adolescent and pediatric patients in internships in Psychiatry Department of School of Medicine in Gaziantep University in 2012, Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry Department of School of Medicine in Gaziantep University in 2014 and Psychiatry Department of Erenköy Psychiatric and Nervous Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 2017.

She voluntarily worked with Syrian Refugee children by applying dance, music and art therapy within scope of the “Project Lift” that is organized by MAYA Foundation in 2016. In this period, she participated to the 1st Trauma Symposium held by Turkish Association of Psychologists and she attended the Workshop titled Trauma in Children and Adolescents.

Participating numerous congresses and seminars that developed the professional career, M/s Kıratlı authored research papers on factors related to the anxiety, depression and loneliness in university students in three different years.

She gained the WISC-IV Practitioner Certificate after she attended the training held by Turkish Society of Psychologists in 2017. She conducted studies on women’s and children’s health in Syrian refugees within scope of UNFPA – a United Nation’s Project – in the Association of Solidarity with Asylees and Refugees in the same year.

Kıratlı is a member of Turkish Association of Psychologists. Her fields of interest at trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, adaptation and behavior problems, developmental problems, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, child-oriented play therapy and guided play therapy, among others, in children, adolescents and adults.

She is the certified practitioner of WISC-IV, AGTE, MMPI, Standardized Mini Mental Test, Gesell Developmental Schedules, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, Metropolitan School Readiness Test, Bender-Gestalt Perception Test, Benton Visual Retention Test, Draw a Person and Good Enough Test and MOXO ADHD Test.
